The Shrine at Present

Update. The MonteMaria Shrine in Batangas moved to Cavite. In 2014, The shrine in Cavite closed. Fr Suarez now stays with the Missionaries of Mary Mother of the Poor in Occidental Mindoro. For more info, visit www.FatherFernando.com.

The site where the shrine will soon stand located in Matuco Point, Batangas City. Matuco Point lies at the southwest tip of Batangas Bay, 30 minutes drive from Batangas City proper. At present, the site is under construction. A tent has been placed for now to accommodate visitors. Unfortunately, the tent was blown away when the typhoon Frank raged the Philippines last June 22.

Nov. 14/Friday/Day 4: Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Then prompt departure at 10:00 AM for a 2-hour bus ride to our hotel in BATANGAS. After check-in, proceed to the future site of the shrine of Mary, Mother of the Poor located in Montemaria, nestled in the slopes of Batangas. The shrine will be a refuge where the tired soul withdraws to find peace and solace. Let us discover how Mary comes to the aid of those in need of strength and consolation, the poor in society and the poor in spirit. The 40 hour Adoration begins with Mass, celebrated by Fr. Fernando Suarez, CC. In the evening, join us in the welcome dinner shared in the company of Fr. Fernando Suarez, CC and Fr. Jeff Shannon, CC. Overnight in Batangas.

Nov. 15/Saturday/Day 5: Wake up with the "spirit of hope" because this is the day of Healing and Celebration. After breakfast at the hotel, we proceed once again to the Montemaria site for Eucharistic and Healing Mass celebrated by Fr. Fernando Suarez, CC. Montemaria Shrine will be a site for healing and sanctuary for pilgrims and devotees to renew their love for Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother. It is the future site of the Oratory of Our Blessed Virgin Mary and will serve as an apostolic and evangelization centre for pilgrims wanting to experience a deeper personal relationship with God. Participate in the activities and/or you may want to spend some quiet time on your own for personal devotions. Dinner and overnight in Batangas.

Nov. 16/Sunday/Day 6: Let's be thankful for another beautiful day! Let's be thankful for the many blessings that we have received and will continue to receive! 40 hour Eucharistic Adoration ends with Mass celebrated by Fr. Fernando Suarez, CC. After breakfast at the hotel, optional excursion to Taal and Lipa will be offered, which will include a visit to the Taal Cathedral (Basilica of St. Martin de Tours) and Our Lady of Caysasay, and the Carmel Convent for Our Lady of Mediatrix of All Grace in Lipa. Then join us in the Farewell and Thanksgiving meal shared in the company of Fr. Fernando Suarez, CC and Fr. Jeff Shannon, CC. Overnight in Batangas.

Nov. 17/Monday/Day 7: A new day with the Lord! After breakfast, we return back to Manila. En route to Manila, we will stop in Nasugbu, Batangas to visit Caleruega Philippines (by the Dominicans), and then, the Convent of the Pink Sisters in Tagaytay City (which is just a few minutes from Nasugbu).
